GTS commissioning team were on hand to write Inspection & Test Plans, Safety Procedures, and perform pre-commissioning and commissioning activities of the Siemens 22kV switchgear. Current & voltage transformers, circuit breakers, protection relays, transformers and HV cables were tested from component level through to operational equipment.

Project Challenges

IEC61850 (GOOSE) communication was engineered into the project creating extra challenges for the team as a lot of the final design was an ongoing matrix of problems to solve. The challenges were met and the commissioning team excelled in their role.
