Perth Airport engaged Global Testing Services from 18th March 2017 to 10th April 2017 to conduct high voltage testing of 22kV XLPE cables for different substations in the Airport area. The scope of work included assessment of the overall health of the cables and to diagnose sheath fault in the faulty cables. This was done by undertaking different HV tests like VLF Tan Delta, Partial Discharge, Insulation Resistance and Sheath integrity test.
